Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is known for her acclaimed roles in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with several awards for her work, including an Oscar. Actresses have an extensive history of working on Broadway as well as Off-Broadway initiatives. Since her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. The fifth grade was the year that due to mumps, she lost hearing in her left ear. However, she did not let that stop her. While in college, she took classes in theatre as well as later moving from Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her dreams. She ran into Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together to make Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. Hunter moved into Los Angeles and tried to land movie roles. In Swing Shift, she landed the role of a back-up. Her work spans over 30 years, and she's been featured in a variety of TV films or series, as well as films. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
