Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha, better known as Gugu Mbatha-Raw is a famous British stage and stage actor who gained popularity because she was a part of the 'Doctor Who' (a British science-fiction TV show) The show aired on BBC channel. Handler was born into a nice neighborhood, and had a joyful childhood. She moved into Los Angeles when she was aged 19 to pursue acting. Handler became an actress to assist her. When she turned 21 years old, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy full time, since she discovered her storytelling talents. Her career began as an actress on an all-female cast for the Oxygen channel's reality TV series Girls acting badly. The show featured a combination of hidden cameras and funny humor. The show ran from 2002 to 2005. The handler began to appear in other shows such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler appeared on The Tonight Show for a period of time as a correspondent. Handler got her big break in 2006, when she began running her own talk show for E! This show was named The Chelsea Handler. The show ran for two seasons. Handler performed on Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the following year throughout the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend as well as HBO have aired her stand-up comedy performances. The announcement was made in 2010 that she was to host MTV's Video Music Awards in 2010.
